What some people don’t realize is that most skin concerns are due to a damaged skin barrier. There are multiple ways a barrier can be damaged (ex. over-exfoliation, over-cleansing, sun damage etc), but one of the best ways to protect and maintain a barrier is by using a cleanser with a pH of 5.5, slightly acidic, which is what the pH of your barrier / acid mantle should be!
